QUINCY UNIVERSITY CHOIRS TO PRESENT CHORAL FESTIVAL CONCERT
Quincy University’s Music Department Choral Ensembles will host the QU Choral Festival on March 7 at the Connie Niemann Center for Music at QU’s North Campus, 17th & Seminary Road.
Area junior high and high school choirs will join the QU Choral Ensembles for a day of rehearsal. The Choral Festival will end with a concert at 7 p.m. in the Connie Niemann Center for Music featuring each participant choir, the QU Choral Ensembles, and a grand finale with the Festival Chorus, conducted by Dr. Jonathan Stewart, QU associate professor of music/director of choral activities.
The Chorus Repertoire will include “Siyahamba” – Traditional African, “Scarborough Fair” – arr. Jeremy Rawson, “The Heavens are Telling” from The Creation by F. J. Haydn.
